Verity Institute

Innovative Higher Education

Now in association with Thomas Edison State College

History

Verity was established in 2001 in response to a common dilemma faced by Christian home-educating families: “We want our children to get a college degree, but we don’t want the negative influence of secular colleges.” This need birthed the vision for an innovative higher education program that avoids the pitfalls of the modern university and prepares young adults to be Christian examples and leaders in all walks of life.

Two years later, in the spring of 2003, the first Verity class graduated. In the summer of 2006, Verity moved from its original site in Flint, Michigan, to its present location at the IBLP’s South Campus in Indianapolis, Indiana. Since Verity’s beginning in 2001, seven classes with over 300 students have graduated.
