English
“That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life.” Philippians 2:15–16
Any field based on language or the training of the young wields enormous power over a culture. Unfortunately, the areas of education and literature are currently dominated by secular powers. There is a great need for godly teachers and writers to provide a Biblical voice in these battlegrounds for the hearts and lives of people everywhere.
Verity’s goal is to aid those with a heart for writing or teaching to develop the skills and credentials they need to impact those fields for Christ. With the English program, students study literature and writing skills as they earn a BA in English. While the program does not provide specific preparation for teaching, students interested in a teaching career often chose this degree because it provides training in a teachable subject.
