“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
In today’s world, a Bachelor’s degree serves as a valuable “gate pass,” opening up opportunities for work and ministry that would not otherwise be possible. Yet every individual has his or her own specific life goals and plans, and those plans may require training in a broader range of subjects than what is included in more specific degree templates. With this in mind, Verity offers the Liberal Studies / Humanities program. Through this program Verity seeks to provide a broad, well-rounded education while allowing more flexibility for students’ individual interests. Students are able to choose from a range of subjects, combining classes from other degrees or including courses not typically offered, such as Art or Interior Design. Program Advisors work closely with Liberal Studies / Humanities students to construct a degree template that fits each student’s specific interests and goals.
