Class of 2005
Callie Bushatz
Music
Callie is currently pursuing her master's degree in education from the Ohio State University. Besides being a full-time student, Callie keeps busy teaching a Sunday school class at her church, playing the piano for church, and involvement with family. Callie is grateful for the education she received at Verity and has found that it prepared her incredibly well for the rigors of graduate school. She is most thankful for the relationships that were made and continue to develop with many wonderful Christian friends and especially with the Lord during her time at Verity.
Curtis Chism
Business Administration
Curtis graduated in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Following graduation in May, he returned to his hometown of San Diego, CA and began working as a finish carpenter in “high-end” homes with a small company called Arroyo Pacific Craftsmen.
During this time, Curtis completed several construction courses in preparation for pursuing his Master of Construction Management degree at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Curtis hopes to be able to intern with a development firm while pursuing his graduate degree.
Ryan Clarke
Music
After finishing his degree in music, Ryan taught the ’07 music class Principles of Harmony 1 & 2, their first six credits in music theory. In May 2006 he got a job as Production Engineer at Pulse Combustion Systems, a small, Christian company that spray-dries liquid into powder in an innovative new way. Sixteen hundred miles from his family in Georgia, he currently lives in the mountains of Payson, Arizona under the Mogollon Rim, paying his taxes and voting his conscience. He is involved with a solid, local church and is working with the youth program. Ryan considers Verity to be the turning point in his life because those two years at Verity saw his transition from youth to adulthood. The close friendships he developed there are to thank in large part. Verity opened the doors of God’s leading and without Verity Ryan would not be where he is today.
Dena Conzatti
Music
Dena enrolled in 2003 in the Verity Distance Learning program with a goal of obtaining a music degree. Now she is managing a studio of 25 students, as well as working part time as a Family Consultant with the Advanced Training Institute. Dena would like to thank the Verity program for making this training available, and for putting effort into the DE program so she could still maintain a violin studio and pursue her degree at the same time.
Josh Rodriguez
Music
“Verity became a catalyst for my studies in music and cultures, introducing me to some great teachers and courses, and providing the opportunity for experimentation in the various aspects of music production and ministry. Now, I am teaching junior high music (history, choir, theater) in an outstanding private school in Monterrey, Mexico.
“For the past eight months, I’ve been co-producer and speaker of a youth radio talk show discussing social issues and character building from a Biblical worldview. On the weekends, I work at my Dad’s church as youth pastor and worship leader. I’d like to complete a Master’s within the next three years, so I have continued studies in both music education and film composition. My love for Christ has continued to deepen since Verity. Each day, I look forward to the adventures that God has for me!”
Daniel Skinner
Business Administration
Since attending Verity in ’05 as a Business Administration major, Daniel has become the Senior Paralegal & Office Manager of Weaver Law Offices, LLC, a small law firm based in Columbus, Ohio. Daniel works solely under the direction of the Senior Partner of the firm and is responsible for overseeing the work product of two secretaries, four paralegals, and three attorneys, as well as all other day-to-day operations of the firm. Daniel thoroughly enjoyed his time at Verity and counted the lessons learned (both spiritually and academically), character taught, and friendships made as an immeasurable blessing in his life. Moreover, Daniel would highly recommend the program to anyone who is pursuing an accredited undergraduate degree, especially in the scope of a cost-efficient, expedited, Christ-centered fashion.
Emily White
English
Emily came to Verity as a FastTrack student with 0 credits and left seven months later with 120 credits. She even took a one-month break during the summer to record a CD and tour the country with her sisters and the singing group of which they are a part, Sounding Joy! She says that Verity helped to expand her vision outside of what she had previously known. Since returning home, Emily has been busy serving in her church’s music ministry, tuning pianos, teaching music lessons, performing on the harp, and practicing for harp examinations through an internationally recognized examination program called The Associated Board of the Royal School of Music. “Verity was a great study atmosphere. Without it, I’m sure it would have taken me much longer to finish my degree program.”
In January of 2006, Emily returned to Verity to take the position of Master Test Administrator. Her degree enables her to fulfill the qualifications required by CLEP and DANTES to administer exams. She is excited to be a part of the Verity program once again.
