Missions Trip to Mexico 2008
The 2008 Verity Senior Mission Trip to Mexico was an unforgetable experience that provided many opportunities for growth for both the class, and for the individual students. The team sang in prisons, helped clean up the streets, visited orphanages, and planted fruit old world style.
During the trip, there were many planned opportunities for ministry, but there were also many unplanned opportunities like singing for farmers. The farmers said that they saw “a light in our eyes”. There was also one night while ordering pizza that the team met some Emo kids and were prompted by the Holy Spirit to witness to them.
One week of the trip was spent teaching a Children’s Institute which provided a special opportunity to bond with the children as well as develop relationships with the translators.
“I thank God for providing not only the opportunity to go to Mexico but also for the finances to go—for without the prayers and financial support of others, a life changing opportunity once missed would have been lost forever!” – Ellianna McCray
