Along with college degree options, Verity Institute also offers learning experiences that are not specifically related to a bachelor’s degree. These non-credit courses equip you with knowledge and experience for particular skills that can expand your ministry and career options. Time frames vary from a one-week class to a six-month apprenticeship.
You may know life-changing truths, have a desire to share a revolutionary idea, or want to market an exciting new product. The Desktop Publishing, Graphic Design, and Web Design courses were created to equip you with the skills necessary to maximize communication using print and digital media.
The Woodworking Course is designed to teach a wide range of woodworking skills over various lengths of time. A six-month trial period exposes young men to machinery use and basic skills. During this time, students will decide if they want to receive further training in woodworking. After this point, an extended commitment of 12–18 months is recommended to gain the full potential of this course. As skill level and understanding increase, students will have opportunities to train and work with others.
The Bible Certificate is a non-accredited program open to Verity and non-Verity students alike and is designed to help teach and train participants to better understand God’s Word and His Workings as revealed in Scripture and in History.
The Custom Drapery Course equips young ladies with the skills necessary to begin a custom drapery business from their home.
The Verity Music courses are designed to equip you with both foundational and advanced knowledge in music subjects. The foundational courses include Basic Materials in Music Theory and NoteWorthy Music, a three–week music course at Verity. Advanced courses include Harmony, Piano Pedagogy, Conducting, and Form & Analysis. Several of the Verity courses are recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education and can apply to your college degree.
The Culinary Arts program equips students to prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and beautifully garnished! Hands-on training, classroom instruction, study assignments, and team projects provide students with a complete training experience. After completing this three-phase course, each student will understand the skills necessary to serve meals for up to six hundred people and have a thorough comprehension of the multifaceted food service industry.
